Fairbanks! Did you know that our Annual Tool Swap is right around the corner? SATURDAY - MAY 23rd!
We are hosting it at The Centennial Center (Pickle Barrel) in Pioneer Park again this year!
Here’s how it works this year:
Large Items:
If you have large items to donate or sell at the SWAP, drive up access is only the day before the SWAP, Friday evening from 5-7pm or early Saturday morning 8-10am.
NOTE: You don’t need to bring a tool to buy a tool. We understand swaps are generally popular in our community, but this term might not clearly state the intent of the event for everyone.
Other important details:
All types of tools in working order are welcome! Examples include: Automotive & Mechanical, Carpentry & Woodworking, Gardening & Recreation, Kitchen & Household
Unsold item pick-up is from 2:00 - 3:00 PM (same day). After 3:00 PM, any remaining unclaimed items will become property of The Chena Tool Library.
20% of all sales go to support The Chena Tool Library

Shout out to our sponsors! Thank you for helping us make our vision for lending tools and building community an every day reality. We appreciate you!
We are hosting it at The Centennial Center (Pickle Barrel) in Pioneer Park again this year!
Here’s how it works this year:
- You Sell (more than 15 items): Stay and sell your own tools. We’ll give you a table and/or floor space, you can haggle with shoppers, and when you have agreed on your prices, just give the shopper a receipt with the prices for all the items (we’ll provide receipts) and we will handle payment for you at our cashier tables.
- We Sell (15 items or less): If you just have a few items, you can just drop them off and we can track and sell them for you.
- Download the sellers form here to get a head start!
- Donate: Drop off tools anytime during CTL open hours (Wed 3–8, Sat 9–5) or the morning of the event. We'll either add them to our inventory or sell them to fund new tools.
